Addiction to Games/Internet can shrink brain or work poorly

Ran on a test on adults that played 30 minutes a day

Positive Effects: (Strategy Games & Action Packed)

  • Brain grow and develop
  • Improve eyesight
  • Improve focus
  • Improve Memory


  • 2010 Ages 8-18 spent 7.5 on screens everyday
    • Overweight
    • Develop Anxiety
    • Develop Depression
    • Trouble Sleeping

Electronic Screen Syndrome coined by Psychiatrist Victoria Dunckley

  • Sensory Overload–overwhelmed by too much information or a hyper-arousal hyper-alert

So in conclusion that at a lower amount of time might help your brain to grow and develop–at 7.5 hours not so much????
